Al St. John Official

Career

  • Western shows

In the 1940s Al created the world famous Fuzzy Q. Jones for the Westerns. These movies were highly popular and Al once again became a household name all around the world. Between filming, the stars went on the road to perform live for their audience. Western shows attracted fans of all ages, especially kids who frequented the movie theatre matinees, visited the Western shows to meet their cowboy heroes - and perhaps even take a photo and pick up a signed portrait.

Today the Fuzzy character has become a cult icon, especially in Germany, where the films are released as Fuzzy box sets rather than under their original titles. He has also become the star while the previous stars of those westerns have taken a back seat.
